Rosemary Hume’s poached chicken in a creamy curry mayonnaise sauce is the most popular dish being served at this year’s Diamond Jubilee luncheons.

Hume, of London’s Cordon Bleu School of Cookery first served the dish at Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation lunch in 1953.

She included the recipe in The Constance Spry Cookery Book in 1956.

Alan Jackson’s Cook Book in second edition

alan_jackson_cookbook A second edition of Alan Jackson’s cook book: Who Says You Can’t Cook It All is now available at his website. The new edition contains more than 60 recipes from his family, including his wife Denise and his mother Ruth, as well as more than 35 photographs (some never before published). The first edition contained 45 recipes and 20 family photographs.
