He had returned home from the hospital following chemotherapy in Aug<img class=\"right alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.collegeofcookbookknowledge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/newmans_own_cookbook_1985.jpg\" alt=\"Newman's Own Cookbook 1985\" \/>ust. He was 83.<\/p>\n<p>Newman and writer, A.E. Hotchner, founded <a href=\"http:\/\/63.131.143.186\/\" target=\"blank\">Newman&#8217;s Own<\/a> in 1982. Their first product was all-natural Newman&#8217;s Own Salad Dressing. Other all-natural products like spaghetti sauce, popcorn, lemonade, salsa, steak sauce followed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Early on, the boys established the Newman&#8217;s Own policy\u00c2\u00a0 that all proceeds from the sale of Newman&#8217;s Own products, after taxes, be donated to charity.
